Episode 9 Demi - *watching tv* Emily - *walks in* Demi - Hey, where've you been? Emily - Just out. *sits down next to her* Demi - With Joe? *smirks* Emily - Not quite. Demi - What do you mean? Emily - It's connected to Joe, but I didn't actually see him. Demi - Okay, so what where you doing? Emily - I quit. Demi - Quit what? Emily - *gives her a look* My job. Demi - What? Why? Emily - I can't exactly make a relationship work if that's what I'm doing for a living. Demi - Well I guess but what are you going to do? Emily - I'm going to go see Joe soon. Demi - I meant about work. Emily - Oh, I don't know. I never really thought about it. Maybe a masseuse? Demi - How is that any better? Emily - Because it doesn't involve sex with other men. Demi - Oh, so you're gonna the boring kind of masseuse? Emily - No the professional kind. Demi - What you call professional I call boring. Emily - Whatever, it's the only other skill I have. Demi - I can't believe your giving everything up just for one guy. Emily - What? You were all for it last night. Demi - I just didn't think you'd kill off Kitty. Emily - It's what I had to do. Demi - I guess so. *smiles* I'll miss Kitty. Emily - I'll miss her too. *smiles, turns to the tv* Demi - What are you waiting for? Emily - What do you mean? Demi - Go see Joe. Emily - Right, okay. *gets up, leaves* Nick - *walks into Joe's apartment* Joe? Joe - *from another room* In here! Nick - *walks to the room* Hey, you okay? Joe - Yeah, why wouldn't I be? Nick - Well, no offence, but you look awful. Joe - *rolls his eyes* Thanks. Nick - Sorry, but if family can't tell you the truth who can? Joe - *laughs slightly* I guess. Nick - *sits down next to him* So what happened? Joe - Nothing, it was just a long night. Nick - Doing? Joe - Nothing. Nick - Seriously, tell me. Joe - You're not gonna drop it are you? Nick - Nope, so you might as well tell me. Joe - Alright fine. I was at Emily's. Nick - Really? She let you stay the night at hers? Joe - Not exactly. Nick - *raises his eyebrow* Joe - I was outside. Nick - What? Joe - Just in the street. Nick - Why? Do you realise how much of a stalker you're becoming? Joe - I know! I know I'm being completely crazy, but I don't know what else to do. Nick - Let it go. Joe - I can't. I thought I was getting somewhere with her, I really thought she was going to say she loved me back but... Nick - But? Joe - But that bitch Pixie got involved. Nick - *sighs* I hate to say this but maybe Pixie's right. Joe - What? Nick - You're only hurting yourself, Emily doesn't care. Joe - She does I can tell. I wouldn't go through all this if she didn't. I wouldn't have risked getting arrested if she felt nothing. Nick - Joe, you're fooling yourself. I wish she loved you back, I wish everything could just fall into place for you Joe but it won't. Joe - It could do. Nick - In a perfect world, but this isn't a perfect world. Joe - *groans* I just don't want to give up on her. Nick - You have to. Joe - *sighs* Nick - You also have to get some sleep. Joe - Yeah I know. *gets up* Nick - You want me to stay for when you wake up? Joe - No, I think I need to be alone. Nick - Okay. *gets up* See you Joe. *smiles, leaves* Joe - *goes to his bedroom, throws himself onto his bed, tries to sleep*
